Our sound is defined by our experiences—the good, the bad, the ugly. Intimate lyrics, raw energy, and an uncompromising sound.
In 2019, Lydon Peacock (singer/songwriter) and Bradley Osborn (drummer) founded Splitting Edges. Two music lovers, they found a lead guitarist in Nathan Cannon. Devoted to performance, a spark was ignited, spreading across the capital’s gig circuit. Their electric sets positioned them at the heart of a post-pandemic live renaissance.
Splitting Edges are a sonic blend of jazz rhythms, rock vocals, indie melodies, and hip-hop flows, collaborating with rappers and instrumentalists to create their multi-layered sound live and in the studio.
LYDON PEACOCK
LYDON PEACOCK
Growing up in London its always easy to have stuff to write about, theres always things happening or interesting people you encounter daily. The last three years for Brad and I have been such a journey, and we have found ourselves in some of the craziest situations and places. From these experiences, I have an arsenal of details and stories to talk about in our music. For me, it’s almost like the songs are all pieces of a bigger picture and story.
BRADLEY OSBORN
BRADLEY OSBORN
Growing up in St Albans I was always surrounded by music, and it is mainly due to my family that I ended up deciding to devote my life to it. Ever since I was a toddler I can remember my sister being in part musical theatre, and growing up I had lessons in both bass and acoustic guitar. My parents always pushed me to try and practice as much as possible as they could see their passion for music coming out in me with every new song I learnt - however when I look back - as in love with music as I was, playing the bass and guitar never filled me with the pure exhilaration that drumming afforded me.
BLUE LADY!
London-based band Splitting Edges strike a darker chord with our first release of 2025, ‘Blue Lady’. Following on from last Summer's bossa-nova-tinged ‘Maybe’ (‘On Repeat’ BBC Radio Northampton & Three Counties) Blue Lady is a reflection on toxic love. Speaking on the track, Lydon Peacock (vocals, guitar) explains: “Blue Lady is a toxic breakup ballad. It’s a song about being stuck in a relationship that is unhealthy, being aware of it, but being unable to help being attracted to that person. Getting stuck in a spiral like that will make you lose your mind”.
LISTEN TO ‘MAYBE’
Following on from our release of 'Is it me?', ‘Maybe’ was released in late 2024. With Bossa-style grooves and gripping lyrics, we bring you our catchiest song yet. We would be grateful if you could take a moment to listen. Your support means a great deal to us and we look forward to any feedback you might have. Thanks for your time and we hope you don’t miss out on our exciting new direction.
